Set out over the entire first floor of a converted Victorian pub, this spectacular, two-bedroom apartment needed modernisation including a new kitchen and bathroom.
Every room in the home is connected by the large entrance hall, which diffuses a wonderful quality of light throughout. This layout, along with the soaring ceilings and huge sash windows gave a great base to work from.
With a clean backdrop of pale pine floors and white walls, I played with accents of colour, texture and pattern to bring the apartment to life. Focussing the budget on integrated storage and shelving to showcase the clients lovely collection of art and framed illustrations.
Dubai-based luxury retailer The Modist along with the e-commerce site Farfetch hosted a dinner at The Roch hotel during Paris Fashion Week, celebrating the launch of a 10-piece Layeur capsule collection on Farfetch.
Taking inspiration from the new collection, featuring metallic 80s fabrics and graphic prints, I designed the dinner around a palette of hot pinks and turquoise with accents of brass.
A bespoke perspex, semi-circular table top was built around the existing central banquette and featured embroidered pale pink napkins and emerald green tassel place cards.
Following on from the success of the previous menswear showcases, Jermyn Street and the Crown Estate wanted to generate and increase footfall to this very established area over Men’s Fashion Week.
I worked with Inca Productions to design 2x open-air outdoor catwalk shows in 2015 and 2016, physically set on Jermyn Street alongside a marketplace with street feast vendors and bespoke men’s grooming stations.
The catwalks featuring 3 shows a day of all the international retailers in the area.
The Carlton Wine Room is a comfortable neighbourhood space with a strong wine focus, and a menu to match, finding a home in a 19th century building in the heart of Carlton. The restaurant comprises a ground floor casual bar and dining area, first floor formal dining space, two private function spaces on the top floors and the cellar bar downstairs.
The brief was to respect the history of the building, by paring back the existing interiors to look more simple and elegant. The focus for the restaurant is on usability and approachability, so the space needed to feel relaxed and welcoming.
As Senior Interior Designer I worked on the design and fit-out from concept to completion for www.samanthaeades.com
Masterpiece London is an unparalleled show of fine art bringing together patrons, collectors, curators and exhibitors from across the world in displays of art, antiques and design.
I worked with INCA to design and create the sponsors’ RBC Wealth VIP Lounge set within Masterpiece fair. The lounge was in use for the entirety of the fair, a total of 9 days. The décor gave a feeling of elegance and exclusivity with an emphasis on craft and fine arts.
The VIP lounge provided canapé receptions and an all day café for VIP guests. The 2014 fair had the highest visitor numbers to date, seeing 35,000 people through it’s doors.
Located at 39 Jermyn Street for 2 weeks, I worked with INCA productions to design a tasting room and retail space that amplified and embraced the Christmas campaign and brand.
Visitors were provided samples of the sparkling British wine as well as being offered a tasting masterclass that explored the various vintages along with fascinating insights into the historical and cultural background of the brand.
The pop-up also featured a series of evening events such as the launch night, part of the Fayre of St James, along with joint events with Floris, Temperley and Linley amongst others. Blogger tastings and influencer evenings drove awareness for the brand and gained press exposure.
Crate Brewery in Hackney Wick were opening up a new venue called Micks Garage and wanted a food offering to go with their Kambotcha bar and music events, so they approached Berber & Q.
The Berber & Q team wanted something different to the design of their Haggerston restaurant, so the brief was to take inspiration from the Middle East and North Africa and combine it with the look and feel of an American BBQ shack.
The overall design has elements that reflect both of these diverse places; the tiled counters are reminiscent of stalls Josh visited in the bustling alleys of Marrakesh, while the wooden planks and rusted corrugated iron play tribute to food shacks in the Deep South.

After the succes of their flagship restaurant, Berber & Q decided to open a second site in Exmouth Market called Shawarma Bar. Specialising in slow cooked lamb and Middle-Eastern style rotisserie chicken.
We were asked to redesign the entire interior and exterior from scratch. The brief was to create a warm, inviting atmosphere, reminicent of old family run restaurants on the streets of Tel Aviv.
We worked on the entire scope as a 2 person team; from concepts, CAD drawings, applying for planning permission, sourcing furniture, bespoke upholstery, lighting and finishes for the entire space that spanned two floors.
We also managed the budget, suppliers, purchasing schedule and worked with the building contractors on the installation and implementation of the designs at the final stage.
Co-designed with Amy Cook for Lewis Cook Design.

The brief was to create a simple, elegant, unpretentious space where the food was the hero. Inspiration was drawn from New York and classic Parisian bistros.
I worked as a Senior designer for Samantha Eades on the interior and fit out of the new restaurant.
‘There’s something refreshingly old school about Saxe…The look is pared-back white stone, American oak and blue velvet. Classic.’
‘It all feels effortless and relaxed, an environment that doesn’t intrude on the important stuff: Grbac’s food’

‘The whole thing is a sophisticated, understated tour de force.’

The aim of the 4 day experiential event was to devise an engaging & captivating way to change consumers perceptions of Midori and how it can be enjoyed, while informing them about its Japanese heritage & culture.

The unexpected activation, surprised and delighted guests ensuring maximum impact and opportunity to change their perception of the brand.
Marks & Spencer joined the London Fashion Weekend celebrations with a four-day exhibition held in the East Wing of Somerset House. The exhibition featured an interactive carousal showcasing the ‘London Calling’ collection.
Unique to the East Wing space, the structure was delicately stabilised from an existing arch and involved rolled steel halo frames, timber and acrylic elements.
The clothing was suspended from the cantilevered carousel on a pulley system that enabled visitors to lower and raise specific garments for closer inspection.
The Crown Estate appointed Neville McCarthy to promote the estate’s holdings and to establish the area of St James’s as a “fashion-forward, worldwide shopping and lifestyle destination”.
As part of this campaign Neville McCarthy decided to launch Jermyn Street, St James’s Showcase on the final day of Men’s Fashion Week, to highlight the high-end brands the famous street has to offer.
I worked with Inca Productions on the Pitch and then having won the job, worked as Lead designer alongside a producer. Our first showcase for AW14 was a big success and helped retain the relationship with Neville McCarthy.
We went on to design 2x more showcases for SS15 and AW15 Men’s Fashion Week.
Battersea Evolution was transformed for the evening to host the opening gala for the 58th BFI London Film Festival supported by IWC Schaffhausen.
IWC’s partnership with BFI follows a long tradition of supporting film-making projects and demonstrates IWCs passion for film.
Battersea Park was illuminated with a Hollywood guest list including Emily Blunt, Christoph Waltz, Douglas Booth, Natalie Dormer, Mick Jagger, as well as honourees Julie Walters and Stephen Fry.
Guests walked the enormous red carpet before entering the Peter Lindbergh photography exhibition, “Timeless Portofino” for the cocktail reception.
They then moved into the dining space for the award ceremony with Master of Ceremonies Rob Brydon hosting the evening alongside a performance by Collabro
After dinner guests were invited into a hidden party space located in another part of the venue. Designed to mirror the exclusivity and glamour of a stylish members’ club, the IWC after party had guests dancing and mingling until the early hours of the morning.
To celebrate the release of The Cipher, Glenlivet invited 30 industry leading journalists to discover the limited edition whisky in an interactive experience, designed to encourage drinkers to reflect on the flavour of the whisky, without influence from tasting notes, age or colour.
The guests were led into a secure room and given 25 minutes to escape, using only Cipher related clues and their senses. A telephone in each room would ring and a hidden actor would give guests tips to help solve the clue. Following the guest’s escape, Glenlivet Global Brand ambassador Ian Logan engaged in a Q&A and the journalists were able to explore the specially designed Cipher app.
The event took place across 3 floors of a period townhouse, which I styled and decorated to reflect ‘The Cipher’ brand. I designed the space and clues for the ‘escape the room’ experience based on the Scottish history of Glenlivet and the story of its founder George Smith.
As part of their launch in europe, the US retail brand Forever 21 wanted a London launch event for 400 members of the press and bloggers. I worked as a designer for Push Uk from the pitch through to design and production of the event.
Taking inspiration from Santa Monica beach and the Cochella festival we transformed the disused Royal Mail sorting office into a festival experience, including themed areas, a working fairground carousel and a hologram catwalk show.
The 40,000sq.ft space was designed around the 4 key fashion trends that F21 are promoting this year and was divided into distinctively styled areas; Grunge glam stage, Vintage Beach, Navajo tipi bar and a Bohemian lounge.
‘Guests were treated to an impressive visual display of a working carousel, tepee tents, beach huts and a faux Hollywood backdrop as well as a hologram fashion show, which showcased the US chain’s hottest new designs.’
The Night of the Wolf was an immersive live experience involving theatre, art, music and live performance in Brussels. From one budget and one location we created an event experience, content creation, PR programme, influencer programme, radio coverage, interviews with international DJ Tensnake, dark market complaint content and a music video.
On 16th September 2015, Chivas Regal held a global launch event for Chivas 18 Ultimate Cask Collection hosted by Master Blender Colin Scott and Experimental Chef Jozef Youssef at One Mayfair. The event showcased the new blend and Jozef Youssef guided guests through a set of sensory experiments that encourages whiskey enthusiasts to embark on their own experimental exploration of whiskey.
I worked with INCA to design and produce the event, transforming the location into two separate spaces complete with a Chivas 18 Ultimate Cask Collection Whisky Bar and Experimental Lab.
The launch party for Audemars Piguet’s New Royal Oak Offshore 42mm collection took place in Victoria House Basement. I worked for INCA to transform the venue into a space that integrated technology, music, light, projection and Audemars Piguet digital content to create an interactive and immersive environment for guests.
Impactful projection screens formed the main space displaying curated Audemars Piguet content, off set by sheer black gauze. I designed a bespoke bar that replicated half a watch face from the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore collection.
The launch also featured a one to one concierge service. The space was concealed and hidden within the space, creating the sense of a private and exclusive experience. Guests were able to receive a personal service when trying on one of the pieces of the new collection.
Finally guests were treated to an exclusive surprise performance from Tinie Tempah. A kabuki drop revealed Tinie Tempah on stage where he performed his set featuring audio reactive projection mapping on the rear wall of the stage.
I worked with Inca Productions to transform Battersea Power Station, for the evening, into the world of Roberto Cavalli.
The walls were adorned by the house’s iconic prints from the Maison’s illustrious 40 year history and the main room housed a rich sumptuous setting of banquettes, bespoke stage and numerous bars hosted by Boujis and grey goose.
Guests dined on food prepared and served by the famous Italian restaurant Locanda Locatelli.
During the evening, guests were treated to an array of burlesque and acrobatic acts by The Box and danced to international superstar Kelis performance.
